Hard Work and Patience: Leather Crafting Excellence

At Chapman’s Leather, we believe in the gravity of craftsmanship. My passion began with the love of fantasy video games and movies and the inspiration to create came from seeing the wounderus creations from cosplayers around the world. The only problem I had was and still is to a point, I'm not an artist but through hard work and dedication my skills improved and now my work is out there for all to see.

Hand-Stitched Durability

Hand Tooled

We source only the finest full-grain hides, hand-selected for their durability and natural character.

Utilizing traditional saddlery techniques, our reinforced seams are double-stitched with heavy-duty thread to withstand the rigors of combat and time.

From elven filigree to runic inscriptions, each piece of armor is hand-tooled to tell your specific story, making every creation a one-of-a-kind heirloom.

I started with absolutely zero skills, just a few basic tools and a lot of curiosity. My classroom was the glow of online tutorial videos and the shared wisdom of late-night forums. There were countless scraps and humble practice pouches along the way, each one a lesson in patience. Little by little, those small pieces built the confidence I needed to forge something greater. Walking into my first Renaissance faire wearing a full set of armor I made with my own two hands remains one of my proudest moments—a journey from a complete novice to the maker I am today.

Okay I'm done with the fluff on this page. I started with a bucket full of knives that had no sheaths and I needed a hobby. So I set out learning everything I could. I discovered my own dyeing and finishing process. Armor was still out of reach for me at this point, I then got actual training online during the pandemic. I felt great about what I made and started showing it off after, my first show I had enough confidence that I could turn my passion into a business. I worked part time for a while longer till I finally decided to quit and jump fully into my work as an leather artisan my work ranges from wallets and bags to full scale tooled and gilded armor masterpieces. I'm still learning new skills every year so my work will continue to get better and better.
